I was very pleased to see an event like this hosted in Kuwait.  Unfortunately, on my two attempts of going in to get some shots of the masterpieces, I was unsuccessful. The following weekend would have been the perfect time to return, but I was busy and a little discouraged.  Organisers: Next time… please ensure the security staff are informed of opening times!  The correct opening times.

It was dusty yesterday so the windows of Kuwait Towers were not at their best today – but  I wanted this shot of Downtown Kuwait for this particular post.

In a little over fifty hours from now, we will vote in fifty MPs. It’s all been said before – but this time it feels more real.  Saturday is the big day and we need to think of what’s best for Kuwait.

On Saturday morning, have a good breakfast and a strong coffee; then imagine yourself in the top sphere of Kuwait Towers.  Think how much this country gives you – and vote for someone who cares as much as you do. We really need change this time round.  I’m not sure how much change we will get, but I remain hopeful.  My votes are for a man I trust (as much as one can a politician), a woman I believe has potential, and two new faces.

You can make a difference.  Make sure you do.

… it’s the taking apart!  I saw this written on a bill board in London ahead of an England v France rugby match.  One letter and a truely English play on words.

Today, we thrashed the French.  I say we, but it was actually Yousef and the rest of the under fives team.  In fact it wasn’t Yousef at all, it was the rest of his team. Actually it was a couple of the players who knew what they were doing. The rest had no clue where the ball was, and some didn’t even care.  It was great fun to watch and the weather was great considering the start of the week that we’ve had.

The match was part of an annual tournament  between football teams of the BSK and LFK  of all ages.  I’m not sure what all the results were and I really don’t care.  It was great to be part of an energetic and friendly Saturday.
