With many hundreds of business cards collected from various people around the world, we needed an idea.  Although I didn’t intentionally collect the cards, they filled two boxes which had started showing cracks.  The thing is: once I’ve scanned the cards, they’re useless… but throwing them out felt too easy.

A few years ago, my wife told me how fascinating she found other people’s homes to be. She told me how she would ‘always have a quick peek’ as she walked past the houses, looking for a snapshot of the dwellwers’ lives.  Anyone who likes photography will understand the concept of ‘always looking’… and ever since my wife shared this with me, I can think of nothing else  as I drive/walk by an open curtain.  Awful – isn’t it?

I returned from a business trip earlier this evening, and I saw our Christmas tree from outside as I pulled my car onto the drive.  Our living room is on the first floor, so I took this shot from the balcony.

The perfect Saturday afternoon with a lovely barbeque lunch.  Chicken legs, burgers, lamb kebab and… my favourite sausages.  On the side: salads, chips and oven-baked rice.  All this washed down with slow-brewed tea, and Arabic coffee.

We spent the long Eid weekend in and around Muscat.  This post is a little late – but I hope you enjoy the images from out trip.  It makes a nice change being on holiday with my camera and not on business.  This was a good four days with the family and all we did is explore this beautiful part of the world.

Ever since our two trees were removed from the front of our house, I’ve neglected our little garden.  It’s been long enough and it was time for some love and care.  The weather we’re blessed with these few days is a huge boost, both for the plants, and for me to get out there and do the work.

Although I took this image last week, today is the first opportunity I’ve had to upload it.  We spent the long weekend in Oman and I shocked myself by not connecting to the internet for five whole days! Facebook and Twitter on the phone do not count…
