I love this time of year.  It’s Spring time and we’re shaking off the cold weather. The garden starts to blossom like no other time in the year.  New shoots, new flower buds and the grass is standing upright ready to invade the bald patches.  We have two trees in front of our house, one of which insists on shedding almost all its leaves around mid February. It’s now filling up with new fresh green foliage, and the result is very pleasing indeed.  It baffles me how two identical trees getting the same amount of water and light, of the same species and age, behave very differently. When this happened the first two years, I thought the tree was ill.

I believe the next three weeks are possibly the most active time in the garden and the results by early April will be very satisfying.  If our small garden offers some examples, I will of course capture some and post them here.  In the meantime, enjoy these new beginnings captured yesterday.

Bloom time! Hope you enjoy the gardening as much as I enjoy looking at the photographs! Plants and flowers are such a blessing, they bring joy on anyone’s face. Does your garden manage to survive the Summer too?

  1. I like it but it’s a lot of work and finding the time is sometimes a challenge.

With the blessing of God, it does survive summers… not all plants but most.

  2. this plant grows up to a small slender tree, right? there use to be so many bunches, as kids we use to break those buds, with a plop sound on our palms! 🙂

  3. We are facing the exact same thing! Loving the weather these days!
