Not many people can guess correctly where I took this photograph. Most seem to think it’s South Asia somerhere. In fact I took it in Woking Surrey. This was the closest mosque to the office. It also happens to be the Europe’s first purpose-built mosque – outside of Muslim Spain. Read its full history here.

I love it that this photo almost looks sepia toned – its all browns and beiges, and wonderful contrasts.
I have to admit that I couldn’t resist cheating. I rarely use photoshop and this mosque has a green dome!
The photo was taken in winter (that’s snow on the dome) and the colours were bland. The sepia effect helped a little.
